  • Have you made your decision on where you will be attending college in the fall? If so please come by the Counseling Office and fill out a final transcript request. By providing us with this information we can send your final transcript to your college once you have graduated. Come by and don’t wait! 
  • Attention 2018-2019 Rio NYN members. There will be a meeting this Friday after school for about an hour.
  • Have you pre-ordered a yearbook?  If not, this is your LAST WEEK to do so.  Between now and Friday you can pre-order your yearbook in the student center or at  Yearbooks will be available for pick-up next week, Monday for Seniors, Tuesday and after for everyone else.  If you do not pre-order, remaining books will be available for sale starting Monday in room S2.
  • The student Center is conducting a textbook raffle again running through May 21st , In order to enter you must return a Rio Linda high school textbook to the student center . There you will be automatically entered to win awesome prizes. We will announce the winner May 22nd . “. 
  • Attention all students and staff associated with an ASB account: The deadline to submit a check request to the Student Center is before 9:30 AM on May 23rd.  This will be the ASB Officers’ last Executive Council meeting for approvals of check requests for payments and reimbursements and fundraiser requests.  Deposits should be turned in no later than May 29th.  
  • Attention sophomores and Juniors:

If you are interested in attending the HBCU college fair next year in September- please come sign up in the career center E8. We are doing pre-registration on Tuesday with UCAN. HBCU stands for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. These are amazing colleges and you will love the experience! Again- please come sign up so that we can get you pre registered!

Our biggest rally of the year is finally here! Sports-O-Rama will be May 18th, it will include lunch time competitions, a day rally, and also a NIGHT RALLY starting at 5:30. The first 20 people at the night rally will receive a free t-shirt, we also have plenty of t-shirts that will be thrown into the crowd. Please come support your team!!!!! 
The Sports-O-Rama theme this year is Family Game Night! The seniors are Candy land, juniors are The Game of Life, sophomores are Monopoly, the Freshmen are Battleship, and the Staff is Clue. 
The spirit week is also board game themed...
Today is- Career Day (dress as your future career)
Wednesday 5/16- Safari Day (dress as a tourist)
Thursday 5/17- Camo Day (or wear green)
Friday 5/18- Class Color (seniors blue, juniors green, sophomores purple, freshman orange, staffulty red)
Starting this year, 5 Star points are included in the Sports O Rama competition.  Help your class by participating in every spirit day and getting scanned in.  Many teachers have the ability to scan you with their cell phones so ask them!  The current 5 Star standings are: in 1st place, Seniors, in 2nd place juniors, in 3rd place freshmen and in 4th place sophomores. For the staff and faculty, Team Gold is ahead of Team Black.  Earn 5 points for your team for every day you participate by dressing up! 
This Friday after school, Locos Tacos food truck will be located at the front of the school! They will be serving Mexican Cuisine such as Tacos, Burritos, Churros etc. With $5 – 10 you could purchase an entire meal so don’t forget to bring money! The truck will be ready to serve directly after school and will stay until the Sports-O-Rama night rally. Go Knights!!!!!!!
