Hello Knights Nation are you looking for something exciting and educational to do on Thursday, November 9th from 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm, well join the Black Student Union/U-CAN Club in a Youth Summit at the Sacramento Convention Center followed by a Sacramento Kings' Game.  Guest speakers for the youth summit is former 2008 Hall of Fame Darrell Green and 2014 Hall of Fame Aeneas Williams. 


Sign-ups are now available in the Career Center on a first come first serve basis, last day to sign up is November 07th

Although the student population at the majority of HBCUs remains predominantly black, the racial diversity of such institutions have undergone tremendous changes over the years. According to a report by the Center of Minority Serving Institutions at the University of Pennsylvania, black students constitute approximately 76 percent of student population, 13 percent white students, 3 percent Latino/Latina students, 1 percent Asian-American students, 1 percent of students who identify as biracial or multiracial, 1 percent of students classified as undocumented students, 5 percent unknown.  Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science a private, non-profit, Post-graduate Historically Black College and University and a Minority Serving Institution located in Willowbrook, unincorporated Los Angeles County, California. It is the only HBCU in the state of California.
