The BSU Club will be supporting the 1st annual B.I.G. Oratorical (speech) and STEM competitions being sponsored by the B.I.G. Sacramento Metro Chapter. There are three levels to each competition starting with the local chapter on Saturday, May 20th. The two first place winners will then compete at the regional level on Friday, June 2nd, and the 2 regional winners will compete at the national level on 21-24 August in Atlanta City, NJ. The theme for the Oratorical is “Uniting the Blue Divide: What Can Young People Do to Improve the Relationship Between Law Enforcement and Their Communities?” the theme for the STEM competition is “Exploring the Capability of Robotics Engineering” students will design, build, and program mobile robots which includes an exhibit as well as provide an oral presentation of the basic operations and concept of their robot. If interested please sign up in the counseling office no later than Tuesday, April 25th.
