Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program: Available for high school seniors. Grant of $1,000. Requirments of a full-time high school currently enrolled at a high school within a Comcast Community. Student grade pint average of 2.8 or higher. Jerome Holland Scholarship: Five scholarships are awarded annually $20,000 for out-of-state students and $10,000 for students in Virginia. Walter N. Ridley Scholarship: The Black Alumni Association sponsors this scholarship designed to support African American students. Italian Catholic Federation: Students of Roman Catholic graduating seniors of Italian descent with at least a GPA of 3.2. Award: $400.00. Deadline: March 15, 2010. Apply online at www.icf.org.
American Slavic Social Club Scholarship: High school senior whose ancestry is of the country formerly known as Yugoslavia, is a U.S. citizen, and attends an accredited high school within 25 mile radius of Sacramento are encouraged to apply to this scholarship. Must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and plan to enroll in a full-time college program. Must submit 2 letters of recommendation, a transcript, and an autobiographical essay. Award: $1,000.
