Hallow-Clean Up Event - October 31, 2015

Community Service

The Green Club students joined with members from DECA and the Key Club to clean up a local park and community.  The "Hallow-Clean Up" Event was sponsored by Sacramento's Vice Mayor, Allen Warren, the City of Sacramento,  Atlas Disposal, Republic Services and the Del Paso Blvd. Partnership.

The students spent the morning of Halloween picking up trash from the park and areas around the park.  The students did a great job and were rewarded with a lunch.

Accepting Recyclabes

Students, Teachers Staff and RLHS Community,

The Green Club is accepting cans and bottles to be recycled.

Please support our recycling efforts and drop off any cans and bottles to room D-6 (Mrs. Caddell’s classroom).  Or contact Mrs. Caddell and she will have a club member pick them up at your convenience.

Make a Difference!

You can help make the earth cleaner by bringing your cartridges and small electronics to room D-6.

The following items will be accepted:

  • cell phones
  • digital cameras
  • inkjet cartridges
  • laser cartridges
  • mp3 players/ iPods
  • laptops
  • gps devices

Many of these items can leave toxins behind and take over a thousand years to decompose in landfills, but recycling them is a fast and easy way to help prevent this from happening.
