Course Description
Algebra 1A is the first half of a two-year course of introductory Algebra. Students must also complete Algebra 1B to satisfy the Algebra requirement for graduation. The course is open to 9th and 10th graders. Credits: 5 per semester
Alg 1A includes the introduction of constants, variables, expressions, equations, and functions. Topics of study include simplifying expressions, solving and graphing linear equations, and the basics of polynomials.
