Dear Families of Rio Linda High School,
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Paul Orlando as the new principal of Rio Linda High School, effective July 1, 2016.
With more than 25 years of experience in education, Mr. Orlando is committed to working closely with staff and the community to ensure that all students reach new levels of achievement. Most recently he served as principal of Rio Tierra Jr. High School for nine years, and prior to that he was a vice principal at Highlands High School for five years. Mr. Orlando also has nearly a decade of experience as a high school science teacher.
We are appreciative of our families who provided input as to the desired qualities of our next principal. I believe that you will find in Mr. Orlando a leader who is fair, involved with the Rio Linda community, and capable of bringing a strong and engaging academic program to all of our students.
Principal Delgado continues in his role at Rio Linda High School through June of this year and will assist with the transition. Before the end of the school year, you will be invited to meet Mr. Orlando and we hope you will take advantage of that opportunity.
Best wishes to you and your students.
Lori Grace, Ed.D.
